Lord Scourge

The location of this NPC is unknown.

As the Sith Emperor's personal executioner, the grimly fatalistic Lord Scourge has personally killed more than a hundred Jedi--and ten times as many Sith. Even the most powerful members of the Dark Council avoid offending the man bearing the title "the Emperor's Wrath."

Lord Scourge has dutifully served the Empire for over three hundred years, his life unnaturally prolonged by perverse technology and his master's dark side powers. Centuries spent watching his fellow Sith Lords rise and fall has given Lord Scourge a unique perspective on people. He can analyze someone's flaws after only brief observation, and freely shares his perceptions (whether they're wanted or not).

This is the same Lord Scourge as the one in the Revan novel....one guess what that means for his story importance.

Read the Revan Novel if you want to know why he is a Jedi companion and not a Sith companion ... you can read a about his character online if you are lazy.

Lord Scourge is a highly important character in the Revan novel and pertains to MAJOR spoilers for the Jedi Knight's quest.

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

For those wondering as to why this guy is a Jedi Knight companion, it is because of this reason. When Scourge had arrived on Dromund Kaas, he was an investigator with Darth Nyriss as to who is behind the attacks on her, after a few elaborate plots set up by Nyriss to distract the Dark Council of being suspicious of her, she explains to Scourge that the Emperor has been thinking of declaring a war on the Republic. Then at this moment, Nyriss blackmails scourge into helping the Dark Council usurp the Emperor.
Once Nyriss and Scourge go to the planet Nathema, which is the birthplace of Lord Vitiate. Seeing as how the entire planet was consumed by the Emperor, it was dead in the force. After realizing how much of a madman Vitiate is, he decides to help the Dark Council with his loyalty. While Nyriss and Scourge are about to leave Nathema, they see the Ebon Hawk in orbit, Nyriss shoots an Ion Cannon at the ship, and Scourge takes Revan prisoner and all 3 return to Dromund Kaas.
3 Years later after the events of Kotor 2, Revan has been interrogated by Scourge at all of this time. Meetra (The Jedi Exile) consults with Bastila, with T3-M4 in her possession, and decides to head to Nathema. At there, Meetra discovers The Void, a giant matrix that devours all life that steps on Nathema summoned by the Emperor. After getting records from Nathema, T3 and Meetra head to Dromund Kaas.
While Revan is being interrogated, he starts to try and get Scourge to see reason, that he is going to be the one to kill (or at least stall) the Emperor. After a few conversations, Revan bluffs and claims that Meetra is coming to rescue him. Scourge is in doubt and asks why that is, and Revan says because with the power of the force, he could reach out and see into the future. (Yet ironically, he bluffed about Meetra coming to save him, when it actually did in fact happen.) Scourge tries to understand how to do this ability, but fails in doing so.
Meetra talks with a Sith Advisor and asks to see a man called Lord Scourge (She hadn't known his actual name, just in a holorecording she saw him). And the advisor tells Scourge to meet Meetra. Once she and Scourge meet in a cavern, they think up of a way to break Revan out of prison and kill the Emperor.
Scourge then goes to the Emperor's palace and shows him counterfeit evidence of how Nyriss is planning to usurp the Emperor, the Emperor then tasks the Imperial Guard to go to Nyriss' estate and kill her. At this time, Meetra and Scourge also jailbreak Revan and Meetra gives Revan his mask.
When Nyriss comes and sees them 2 freeing Revan, she starts to channel a force storm, yet Revan absorbs the entire spell and shoots the lightning back at Nyriss, and turns her into a pile of ash.

The night before the 3 are going to the Emperor's Palace, Scourge starts to have visions, he sees one of Revan and Scourge triumphant with Meetra dead, then one of Meetra and him triumphant, and Revan dead. Then he sees a vision of his death with the victors being Meetra and Revan. And another vision, of a completely different jedi, neither Revan nor Meetra (The Jedi Knight) killing the Emperor. Starting to become skeptical, Scourge starts to have doubts of their plans.
The day the 3 charge the Citadel, they enter the Emperors Throne room, Meetra and Scourge are fighting off the Imperial Guard, whilst Revan and T3 are fighting the Emperor, the Emperor casts an ability similar to which of Nyriss used, and Revan tries to absorb it, but it counters him as his skin starts to bubble and boil from the heat of the lightning (Thats why he has the scar of the Mask on his face, because the mask started to superheat onto his face.) Then T3 starts to light the Emperor on fire. The Emperor immediately stops channeling lightning at Revan and sends it directly at T3-M4, blowing him into thousand bits of debris.
Revan recovers, and him, Meetra and Scourge stand ready to face the Emperor, as Revan charges, Scourge immediately stabs Meetra in the back, killing her. Revan then collapses to the ground, and Scourge kneels before the Emperor, the Emperor, (seeing this as an act of loyalty) gifts Scourge the rank of The Emperor's Wrath and the gift of Immortality. Ever since, he has served as the Emperor's executioner, and waiting for the jedi he saw in his vision to rise and defeat the Emperor.

I am disappointed that the armor in the picture is not available once he becomes your companion. I wonder if there is some alternative way of getting that look for him later on...

Lord Scourge is by far the easiest companion to get affection with on the game. All you need to do is talk violently in conversations and you get get 168 Affection with him every time you do it.

For example :

Bob : 'The Sith are attacking !'
You : 'Lets kill them all'

That will get you a lot of love from Lord Scourge.

No, that is a different Sith Lord. You first meet Lord Scourge during a quest on Quesh around level 37.

It wasn't said here but you actually don't get him on Hoth, after you finish your class line on Hoth you get rusk. Wont spoil when, but you get Scourge 2 short missions after you clear Hoth.

You receive this companion on Hoth.

He is a melee Tank. He uses heavy armor and a lightsaber and shield generator.

Lord Scourge AKA "Emperor's Wrath" is first met on Quesh. He is the Emperor's personal assassin, feared by the Sith and only known as rumor to the Jedi Order. He is encountered during the mission to repel an Imperial attack against a small cave outpost (around level 37-39). He seems to know who you are right from the beginning. Knowing this we can assume the Emperor will try and send him after you. Why he becomes you companion is unclear (and un-spoiled for you to find out).

I noticed when Scourg first begins attacking he receives green healing points like he's getting high off the prospect of killing.

I like it how you can do Maelstorm Prison with Scourge alongside with you, and when Revan sees him nothing happens. I guess he forgot how this guy looks.

What happened to the handy Affection guide for each companion? The one that showed zero to three stars for the various forms of affection gains per companion.

One of the Sith gets a Jedi companion and one of the Jedi gets a Sith companion. I believe you can convert them in a way during the game.

@usmcpound, reading the book should provide you with that information, but since you apparently didn't get it:
The book is 300 years before the game, but since he's immortal, he's obviously still alive. But when it happened, it told you his agenda. Due to the inability to properly hide spoilers, I won't go into it... suffice to say working with a JK is more along with Scourge's agenda (remember in the book he DID work with a Jedi) than working with a Sith would be.

If you don't understand from that intentionally cryptic "explanation", feel free to re-read the book.

@leash246Ok, that makes sense. I guess I never put 2+2 together. I was just wondering how in the world he would end up with a JK. Joining forces again.

Why is he a jedi companion?
-13
By usmcpound at 2011-12-09 12:05:26
Ok, question. This might be a SPOILER for some, but in the book Revan, he gains the title of Emperor's Wrath, and becomes immortal. How is it that the JK get him as a companion considering the book takes places before the current events in TOR?
