Andronikos Revel

The location of this NPC is unknown.
For five notorious years, the pirate Andronikos Revel terrorized Republic and Imperial space alike as the captain of the Sky Princess. Known for his sharp temper and sharper flying skills, Revel was one of the few pirate captains to serve as his own pilot.

His piracy career was cut short by a strange mutiny, however, and he was abandoned to the Imperials who had been hunting him since he'd raided a ship carrying valuable artifacts. After a year in Imperial prison, Andronikos Revel was let loose. He has been meticulously hunting and killing the mutineers who betrayed him ever since.

Early on, you have a conversation with him and you can ask him to be your pilot. Once you do that he takes over for the space missions being the primary voice heard instead of your character. You do still seem to chat a bit during the missions though!

He does a good bit more damage than Khem Val does, so if you're Assassin you might be better off using him.

So much better than Khem for Assassin Tanks! In fact, I still use him over Ashara Zavros and Talos Drellik late into the game.

If you're a tank, this guy is your DPS. I find it faster to DPS most things down rather than a tank+healer (Talos); but I went Biochem, so I have nice medpacs/stims/adrenals. YMMV. I haven't got to Xalek yet, so I cannot compare to him in dps mode.

Also note: by default, Andronikos is in sniper/single-target "mode" - if you expand his control panel, you can click on the AoE's or the assault mode (good for pure AoE). I use a hybrid of Sniper mode and toggle the use of AoE's.

@DaerkAngel69: Hm. I actually gave him a courting gift earlier this evening and received affection in return. Have you initiated a romance with Andronikos yet? I'm wondering if that's the key to triggering affection from courting gifts.

his intrest in items changes as you gain rep with him. i have a female Inq and i maxed my rep with him. once you have slept with him he likes the courting items, as a female if you continue gaining rep with him he will eventually marry you and ask about having kids. i maxed my rep and nothing happened, so i am hopping they add a quest or something just to acknowledge that you've maxed it.

when i logged out and back the next day he had a epic underworld companion gift for me...and then the next day he had another. i guess that is the reward you get for maxing their affection.

@Sparklebunny: I'm actually wondering if they didn't accidentally flip the values for male and female characters on Andronikos' table here. My female SI has given him courting gifts and gotten increased affection in return; similarly, I get the highest values possible (not including diminishing returns for giving lower level companion gifts at higher affection levels) for military gifts and underworld goods. Doesn't seem to care for luxury items my SI gives him, so maybe that bit is correct. *shrug* Be interesting to hear from any others who play female SIs to corroborate my experiences.

Not sure about tanks\Assasins, but I'm Sorc Healer, and damn, that's the best companion I had. Nukes everything in seconds, and with my absorbs and heal he's immortal. IMHO he has the highest DPS, and that's most important.

Uh. Torhead. HUGE Blooperrr! The blue, circle with the arrow in the upper right corner is the MALE symbol. The pink, circle with the arrow straight DOWN is the FEMALE symbol. With the choices right now on his affection level, he's gay and sexist....
The male's symbol is a sword and a shield, protector of the home and all that. It's actually Mars' symbol. The female's is Venus' mirror. I think. Yeah. Anyway, I just thought I would let you guys know... Cause. The courting at the moment is telling us that females gain no affection and males gain one star. :3

Andronikos Revel is voiced by none other than Steven Blum(Alias 'David Lucas'), who is most famous for his role as Spike Spiegel in 'Cowboy Bebop'.

There's nothing wrong with same-gender courting. I do hope the rumored implementation of it comes to pass, it would certainly make things interesting.

@ Lailya: I saw your comment so I thought to test your theory, I'm playing a human female sith inquisitor, I just gave Andronikos a Gold Necklace. I got zero affection and his response is "What am I gonna do with this?"

Unless something's changed since you last gave him a courting item I do believe that the website is correct.
