How To Run Black Talon To Maximize Kaliyo's Affection Gain
for use while solo running this flash point. choosing certain options (killing or not killing NPCs etc) will change outcomes/options etc.

# = a choice that does not affect affection

if two numbers are listed followed by a #, either of those options is no change in affection and the third option is an affection loss. in other words, you can chose either number safely, but the third will negatively affect kaliyo's affection.

For anyone interested in getting fast, cheap affection with Kaliyo, simply re-run Black Talon in your down time. You will have to take the Dark Side options to achieve the optimum results, but for most that is not an issue. Simply follow this numbered conversation guide to earn a maximum of 455 affection with Kaliyo!

Kaliyo is the first companion you get, she's a good ranged tank and ranged dps. Below is a transcribe from the codex:

As with many mercenaries, her loyalty cannot be purchased, but her services can be -if only temporarily.

Notes: No known military training, but extremely capable with assault weapons. Has been known to bite when disarmed.

Summary of Kaliyo:

She wears heavy armor with aim (aka bounty hunter gear). Keep this in mind if you are running flash points with BHs and they don't need the gear that drops.

Her favorite give type is weapon, but she also enjoys military and luxury.

As a mid 30s healer operative, I have found that questing with her is not optimal. I prefer Vector. It's possible it's because he has better gear. It's hard to keep all of your companions geared up well. I find that his melee style is easier to keep track of mobs, things die quicker and we lose less health.

She agrees with most dark side decisions, and basically anything involving killing and violence, but you will lose affection for blindly following the empire.

Once more, Black Talon. If you don't want any Dark side points, here are the responses that net you the most affection with Kaliyo. However, you will only gain 300 affection from this run. It's up to you to decide whether it's worth it.

The conversations where you lose affection due to Light side choices give the loss back with other choices, and more, so it's not really worth it to dismiss Kaliyo for them.

If you do, make sure you visit your Trojan dealer and Dr. on a regular basis.

I did it until I found that dude on my ship without his shirt.
Now I want an option to put a blaster to her or take her back to Nimro in a slave collar.

In my opinion as of level 36, this is the best companion you get until you reach the last one. She's the only one that can hold threat off of me and pulls threat off of entire groups. She's got heavy armor, a shield generator and a blaster. She's your tank and not a ranged DPS as people keep labeling her.

As I progressed through the story line I kept wanting someone else to be better, but as long as she's geared adequately there's not too much you can't solo, even if it means she has to sacrifice her life a few times, better her than you.

Ranged Tank that wear's heavy armor and has pretty great threat generation.

Aim and Endurance are her primary stats and she likes most Dark Side choices and prefers when you make choices that buck authority and are self-serving.
