Darth Malgus

Beat this guy tonight in the heroic space station.

Challenging fight but quite fun.

He does a minor aoe damage to everyone periodically but mainly a massive knockback that seems sort of random.Its a good idea to stay on the stairs with backs facing the walls incase he knocks you back. Our tank tanked on the bottom against a pillar. Periodically he casts doubt on one person that creates a big warning, this is just an early sign of what's to come. He will then cast it again and create another warning for the player. The debuff then stuns the player for about 5 seconds and then it goes again and he chokes everyone but the player who has been afflicted by doubt. This player fights him alone for about 12 seconds. His damage seems reduced and as a Bounty Hunter I used it as extra dps time and didn't need to move. Our sorcerer however was taking bigger hits and just kited him running.He does a cast "Ultimate lightning" or something that 1 shots someone usually after ending a doubt phase. It needs to be interrupted.

At the 50k mark on heroic he then enters end phase and he can be knocked back. The idea is to move him to the ledge then spam knockbacks on him until he goes off the edge in quick succession. For ease sake don't tank him on the hallway with the stairs leading down to the edge, tank him on the big edges on the sides of the hallway. We only needed 2 quick knock backs one after the other and he was off. Its the only way to kill him. He spawns a chest to loot afterwards. Dropped a firebird mount but i didn't win it! T.T Also gives you the title "[Name] The Throne Breaker"

To clarify on knocking him down, you have to hit him with two knock-back abilities both within one cast of his lightning. In my group, after getting him in position next to the ledge, we communicated "on next lightning cast, go!" then we both spammed our knock-backs.

Also periodically throughout the fight he will begin casting his Ultimate Power lightning ability. You NEED you interrupt this or everyone in range will be one-shot. It is a slow cast and not hard to interrupt.

Before you encounter Darth Malgus, there will be a stacks of clickable crates near the door on the left that contain grenades. They are unique, so each player may only have one in their inventory. After it's in your inventory, be sure to also place it on your action bar.

The grenade is only usable on Malgus while he is channeling Force Lightning. You can use it before or after another knockback effect - but it you must knock Darth Malgus back twice before he will actually go off of the edge, as everyone has stated. If two or more players throw their grenades at the same time, he will not go off the ledge and the grenades will be wasted. You must knock him back once, wait just a moment until a very small red colored debuff appears above his picture (if you have him targeted, you will see the red debuff above his life bar) THEN use another knockback effect.

Once you use your grenade, you cannot run back to get another from the crates while in combat.

It can be tricky and very frustrating to position him and time the knockbacks properly, especially if your only knockback ability is a grenade.

Last night upon defeating him a Columni Chest token dropped for Sith Warrior/Jedi Knight. Yay! I now have SW Columni Warleader chest from killing a fp boss. And HK47 is much harder than Malgus imo. I tanked Malgus with my back to a pillar and facerolled till it was time to knock him off. I never move and he stays in perfect position. Healer stood up next to me so we never had to move. Winning!

In all the times I defeated him, the last phase begins at around 29k hp left. At that point he becomes immune and is impossible to kill by conventional means. I'm thinking to leave it open so that they can make an operation out of his story or something.
