This fight is extremely easy (just solo'd as a 45jug). Here is how you do it.

1.) Bring healer pet
2.) Position your pet somewhere in the middle of the platform or at least in a fashion such that he can heal you while you execute the strat.
3.) LoS kite this jerkface around pillars. Try to keep him between your pet and you coz while you are LoS your pet will take potshots at him and will actually do most of the damage.
4.) Poke him with instant abilities when you can and always try to keep threat so that he doesn't turn around and munch your pet.
5.) Win :D

What a p.i.t.a. Have cleanse on speed dial when fighting this guy. He spams affliction so he can get his auto crit thundering blast. A friend and I did this event with a marauder sith warrior with Quinn (healing) and a powertech bounty hunter with Mako (healing).

- If you see a purple circle on the ground, move
- kept companions on heal watch with attacks disabled
- heal through force damage
- interrupt embrace of sel-makor is a must

If affliction doesn't get cleansed asap, the thundering blast crit will do way too much damage. We went in originally as 47 (even match), but wasn't able to actually put him away until we came back at 49. The mission log says the mission is only 47 *normal, but IMO, should be heroic 2+ or even heroic 4 if attempting to do it at 47 or lower.

Definitely should be a Heroic 2+

Could almost solo as a 48 Merc with Mako.

Tried soloing as a lvl 46 dps juggernaut with quinn healing, managed to drop him at about 20% of their hp before I blew all my cooldowns and got overwhelmed by all those spells.

Clearly should be a heroic 2+, would go much easier though

Soloed him as a level 46 sniper using Scorpio.

I tried numerous things. Always seem to forget kiting. Livesordies suggestion worked in the end. Thanks for the tip.

Just killed him as a 45 Juggernaut (Rage). I moved away from his Backlash, Force Storm, and Force in Balance abilities every time, and always interrupted Thundering Blast. Took me a bunch of attempts before I tried it this way (with healer companion), and with cooldowns I was surprised how easy it was this way.

Managed it as a lvl 46 Assassin by pillar hugging with a healer companion, still tricky but just about did it.

I solo'd this as a level 45 Medicine specced Operative.

I had Temple as my companion but she was down about a quarter of the way into his life. I kept 2 stacks of Kolto Probe on myself while running behind the columns to break line of site when he was casting. I ended up being able to just stand behind one column in the end while he tried to cast Affliction. I would step out and hit him with Corrosive Dart and an auto-attack and then step back behind the column. He would not be able to hit me without seeing me at the end of his cast and he would start the cast over again each time I stepped out.

I probably didn't even need to keep Kolto Probe up but it was nice to have a little insurance.

Soloed him as a lvl 45 Tankassin using Talos Drellik and the pillar hump method. I just focused on keeping aggro by periodically shocking/ discharging and LoSing all of his casts. Made two mistakes... one was letting the first AOE force choke get off, forcing me to use unbreakable will, and the second was allowing him to cast an affliction on me, which I immediately Force Shrouded to remove the debuff.

Could have probably brought out Andronikos to kill him quicker but better safe than sorry.

Just soloed on my 44 concealment op with Doctor Lokin (healing pet). Pillar humped like I was in wow arenas. The key is to wait for him to start casting, duck behind the tree or a pillar to LOS, then pop out and whittle him down with spam Rifle Shot and keeping Corrosive Dart DOT up. Took a bit of time, but he's nothing if he can't get his casts off. Oh, and keep Escape on your bars to break his retarded choke that he likes to chain with a massive hit in case he manages to catch you.

Livesordies nailed it. LOS makes this fight a cakewalk.

The Line Of Sight trick worked wonders.
I solo'd him this way as a 47 Sniper, with Lokin for healing. Kept Corrosive Dart up and Rifle Shot him, while running around the big pillar in the Southeast corner of the platform.
As a side note: He is stunnable.

I did this as a healing spec level 45 Operative. I had Ensign Temple out and I just ran around healing myself and my companion, mainly just stacking Kolto Probe and spamming Surgical Probe. When they were up I used Debilitate and Distraction to interrupt him. Spamming Fragmentation Grenade and Corrosive Dart for the entire fight really helped too.

I tried for hours to do this on my marauder when he was 46 and 47, and never got below 20%, lol.

Pillar hump ftw. Only way it can be done solo low lvl.

LVL 45 Sorc healer with Ashara:

- Make sure you have the agro, won't be hard if you get the first blow (I just sent my pet in a little later)
- Pillar LoS him
- Do do damage / heal in between his casttime skills
- End the fight with 90% HP for yourself and about 30% on your pet
