Killed Him today in beta 12/4. Less than ideal group consisting of 2 Melee Tanks, 1 Ranged OT, 4 Healers and 3 Dps but we got it done. He has a relatively short respawn timer. Less than 6 hours. He dropped 4 Artifact (Purple) quality items 46+.

Phase 1 - Tank and Spank until 90% in Flashpoint gear it is not possible to solo heal a tank. Requires two Healers. Easiest to tank him where he stands. He has no special abilities.
Phase 2 - Three adds spawn all level 50 elites. All three have a Buff called Favored of the Primal Destroyer. That states if the adds are killed the Primordial Destroyer will enrage causing a wipe. Simply have tanks pick up their targets and hold until the Primal Destroyer falls. He only had 485k health he fell rather quickly. Afterwards the adds do not disappear so simply kill them and collect your loot.
Drooling Grubling - is the Rancor looking one. He can only be tanked by a ranged tank. He can be off tanked by a DPS cause he doesn't hit that hard but the off tank requires a dedicated healer.
Primal Grubling This add looks almost identical to the boss. Does a fair amount of damage and radiates a AoE dot like effect that deals damage to all nearby players. Tank away from the group.
Unnatural Grubling This is the blue monstrosity. He puts a stacking armor reducing debuff on the tank. While it was not necessary for our group to switch tanks on him I would suggest it in an organized group. He starts to hit very hard as the fight goes on.

Happy Hunting.

Killed this last night on live.

Adding to MysticPandas guide:

Easily doable with a normal 8-man setup: 2 tanks, 2 healers & 4 dps. Just need 1 ranged dps for the Rancor add. The adds spawned opposite the boss, on the shore, once boss is at 90%.

The Primal Destroyer - Have your best tank on the main boss.
Drooling Grubling - The rancor chain casts acid spit, which leaves ooze on the ground (can't see it since you're balls deep in the water :P). Have your assigned ranged dps take aggro on this guy and keep on moving. He casts his spit so often, that you really have no time to stand still to cast anything. Once the ranged has aggro on the rancor, he can dps the boss with instants. If the ranged keeps on moving, he wont take any dmg, as the spits dont do dmg on hit. Only the ooze on the ground hurts.
Primal & Unnatural Grubling - These 2 do so minimal dmg combined that 1 tank is enough. Just have the offtank tank them away from the group cause of Primal Grublings aoe aura.

Dropped 2x 22 Barrels.

Post 1.1 update:

Group consisted of 3 tanks, 3 healers, 6 dps. Ensure at least one of your dps'ers is a Shadow/Assassin that's not afraid to take a few hits.

Tanking assignments:
Best tank = main mob
Best geared off-tank to the left side (Unnatural Grubling, the big blue spikey looking one)
Ranged tank is best, but any tank should suffice for the middle add (Drooling Grubling)
Shadow/Assassin = kiting on the right side (Primal Grubling) Be in your Tank stance! Abuse your burst run as much as you can, but never kite him out of the water as the event may reset

Phase 1 - Engage him where he stands. Off-tanks get into their position. When the main mob is at 90% HP...
Phase 2 - Three adds spawn from the West, South, and East of the main mob. Your off-tanks need to grab their assignments ASAP. Do NOT kill the adds! All DPS should be on the main mob until he falls.

Healers:
Keep the main tank up and keep an eye on the West and East off-tanks. As the fight progresses the West tank (Unnatural Grubling, the blue one) applies an armor debuff to the tank and will start hitting very hard. Also the kiting tank to the East may take a few shots and AE's while kiting, so throw some green numbers their way from time to time.

Clean up the adds once the main mob is down.

This boss is fairly easy to kill. He used to be VERY easy to kill but in the recent patch, he has been buffed. The tactics are :

Get a group of 2 tanks, 3 healers and 4+ dps. ( It is a world boss so you can have 40 people for all it matters, this is just what I recommend for a minimum )

Attack the boss. At 90% health, he will spawn 3 adds. Your off tank will need to pick these up.
One of the adds is a green ranged add ( Drooling Grubling ) This add is VERY BUGGY. It will be extremely hard for melee dps to attack it

Kill the boss. Once he is dead, Kill the adds. The adds only have 90k hp each so there isnt really an order needed, although it is recommended that you should get your ranged to kill the buggy green add while melee kill the other 2.

The boss can also put a MASSIVE debuff on DPS, making them do 80% less damage but get 80% less aggro. If you recieve this debuff, simply stop attacking the boss until it wears off ( If you attack with the debuff on, It resets the debuff meaning you wait longer )

My first time killing this one yesterday.

The group consisted of 2 tanks, 3 healers and 3 dps.

Juggernaut tank on the boss, and an assassin tank on the adds. Both tanks in lower than Tier 1 average gear.

I healed the OT with my sorcerer healer, and had plenty of time to help on the boss. The adds did very little damage, but it did increase somewhat due to the debuff from one of them.

All in all, a very easy boss with this many people.

He dropped two purple armor pieces and the schematic for Advanced Magenta Lethal Crystal

Unconfirmed rumours say he should also have these in his loot table:
Advanced Magenta Intrepidity Crystal
Advanced Magenta Resonating Crystal

The hunt continues... :)

A magenta crystal recipe (power) finally dropped after about 8 kills today. Rare drop.

If you want that rare schematic mentioned above I would strongly encourage attempting to do so very soon. The boss is going to get much harder than he is now with the 1.1 update. To be honest, I think this is a good thing, because he's really not very difficult now as long as you have 2 tanks and 2 healers.
