If you chose dark side option, the lovers will cheat and give you yellow crystal instead of orange. Same crystal can be made by Artifice
(sorry dont know how to make links on forums)

Actually the Jedi Order was aware of Revan and Bastilla's relationship. In fact, Revan was so revered by some, that in spite of the fact they knew about it, they accepted their relationship on the proviso that Revan were to generally avoid being apart of the Jedi Order, for though there were some Jedi that spoke of him as their hero and saviour, there were still many that didn't want to accept Revan back as a Jedi, and still remembered the atrocities he committed following his return from Unknown Space and the Jedi Civil War that came soon after.

I've tried this quest multiple times, and I've never found the way to get an orange crystal, always a yellow.
Can we really have this orange crystal ? How ?

And I confirm you cannot get 100 Light Side Points points in this quest, 50 LS, is the maximum reachable.

For some reason I think it is very funny that at the end of the quest Master Silvarte offers you "a token of commendation" for helping, which is in fact a Token of Commendation.

If you don't reveal the padawans relationship to the masters, you have a few more dialogue options after.
You can directly tell them you don't care if they fall to the dark side, you can get the crystal, or you can pick the neutral option which either allows you to encourage the romance, or (only light side option if you don't expose them) have them break up the romance by themselves. Please note that if you have them break it up by themselves, that the light side points only balance out the dark side points you got by lieing to the masters. Also, any dark side option aside from asking for the crystal will prevent getting it as a reward for the quest.
Total Possible Dark Side: 100 Total Possible Light Side: 50

This is correct, you only get a standard yellow crystal not a less common orange one plus you have to pick two dark side conversation answers to get it.

Russian Reformations? lol

In any case, love was certainly prohibited during this period. It comes 300 years after the Great Sith War, and relationships were definitely taboo by then. Bastilla and Revan couldn't openly have a romance, for instance. Doesn't mean they didn't have one, only that the council would have intervened if they knew. By the time Bastilla had her child, Revan had already left.

Others, like Nomi Sunstrider had a family. But he was a Jedi that wasn't actually part of the Jedi Order. He learned from a master who was in a self-induced exile. The Order would not have permitted his relationship. Well, he lived during the War, so they might have looked the other way out of desperation. And if you remember the three jedi who continued to hunt Terentatek after the end of the Great Hunt, their band broke up after one accused the other of violating the code by having a relationship, which violated the code's teachings against passion.

Marriage was never really openly allowed, more like tolerated at best, but usually outright forbidden. It wasn't until the New Order that it was officially accepted.

is it really possible to get an orange crystal from this mission?
By asaphelps at 2011-11-25 16:20:36
After speaking them your options are to turn them in (light) or hide their love (dark).
By blackxdragon83 at 2011-11-25 19:07:20
Upon talking to Moracen and Spanios, you find out they are in love. You can turn in this quest turning them in for Light Side points or Leaving them be for Dark Side points.

Should you decide to take the dark side option on this quest you can bribe them for the crystal they mention which will net you an orange lightsaber crystal.
By bomyne at 2012-05-24 00:52:46
Actually, you can get 100 LS. You group up, and lose the roll with the masters. You get 50 LS, your friend gets 50 DS and then when you choose "Forget about the crystal" you choose a lightside option and get a second 50 LS.

This quest never sat well with me, and even when I try to play a "pure" Jedi I always choose the Dark Side option because I believe that romance/love should not be against the Jedi Code.

Anyone know how to actually get 100 Light points out of this mission? As far as I can tell, 50 Light points is the maximum possible. In order to get to the conversation with Spanios that goes "End this love, Spanios." it's necessary to lie to Master Silvarte with "They are innocent.", which gets Dark points instead of Light. Can anyone confirm this and correct the Quick Facts? (For that matter, the maximum Dark points should be 100, not 200...)
By Feaonor at 2011-11-28 16:10:05
Am I the only one a little peeved by "Dark side" this quest?
Considering that the game is set more than 2 thousand years prior to the Russian Reformations that banned love/romance /relationships it really makes no sense that these two would need to hide their relationship from their masters. Jedi had relationships at this point in time, they even got married and had kids!
Its not even like you blackmail them for the crystal, the woman offered it to me before I even mentioned it.
