Finally beat this on my 4th attempt at Level 9. All were close though.
Strength Stim Active. Send in T7. Force Leap in to combat. Alternate Strike and Slash. Forget about Master Strike and Riposte etc...
Once T7 goes down you hopefully have the mob at around 40%.
Pop Saber Ward. Medpac yourself at 60% health.
Alternate Strike and Slash and pray for some Crits!

2nd attempt level 9. Found myself following Austyn's example with a small adjustment.

Pop'd Strength Stim and sent in T7-01. After he gained aggro, I Force Leap'd behind him using 1. Strike. 2. Slash. 3. Alternating Force Sweep and Blade Storm.
As soon as T7-01 went down (40%) I used Saber Ward, then my Medpac at 30%.
Got him down with 20% HP to spare. Very close.

Does anyone have any tips for beating the Forge Guardian? I took him on four times before I finally ran out of stims and had to rez outside of the instance, and this quest disappeared from my log. I was lvl 10 and had my companion with but I just couldn't beat this thing. I couldn't get him below 200 HP without getting stunned repeatedly and destroyed.
