Space Combat: Ascendancy Barrier

There are actually 6 of the Ace fighters in the mission. 2 are very quickly gone from view, but doable if u spam missiles and use the purple ship upgrades with power conversion for blasters.

If you miss those 2, the "normal" 4 include one near the end that flies around back and forth while you are assaulting the minelayer. Just keep hitting the fighters until you see one that isn't dying as fast, launch missiles and keep hitting on the pass and you should get it. Once you see where it is(or the others) it should be easy enough to remember for future daily quests.

This space mission awards 2 Daily Commendations after completing the daily quest for this mission.

The object of this mission is to destroy 175 mines, disable 4 ship engines and to destroy the bay of the Mine Layer Ship. I found it extremely helpful to have at least grade 5 ship upgrades as well as the Power Conversion Module http://www.torhead.com/item/1nYLp6S/power-conversion-module and the Electronic Warfare Pod http://www.torhead.com/item/hA6YdxD/electronic-warfare-pod

You can get 3/4 a few minutes into the mission (these are the noticable 3 that just won't stop following you)

After that, number 4 (and an extra one, if you have missed one from earlier) can be found right @ the very end circling the very last ship. So on your first wave attacking the last ship (whilst attacking the bays/engines) watch the right hand side. You'll pass the ship itself and on the right you'll see one of the ace fighters flying off to the right, then it'll swing around to the left. An easy kill just using auto shot tbh.

Again though even if you miss that one, theres another before, during and after you circle around for a second go at the main ship.

The mission is NOT hard.
- Get all the upgrades for the ship. - Meaning all grade 5 upgrades, EMP, Power conversion module(which is the most important one).

- Ignore all ships except the ones for quests. Focus on mines to begin with.
- On second pass of mines, use EMP. After that you'll be mostly done with mines.
- Nuke Ace Fighters when you see one.
- When not killing something for quests, you should have the PCM on shield-boost and barrel roll like a crazy man.

- After the first pass of the mine layer(about 50 sec left on clock), you'll have 2 ace fighters in the distance(together with a few normal ships). One strafes off to the right and is easy to blast before you turn around.

The main "tactic" for this is as simple as: Don't shoot anything unless it's for a quest or bonus quest. Keep PCM on shieldboost and barrel roll instead of firing unnecessary.
