The first space combat mission. Simple escort and cover quest. No ship gear needed. As of right now all space combat is on rails, but it is a nice diversion for some good xp and credits. At higher levels having a missle rack with somewhere around 250 missles is just AWESOME!

As with most of the space missions, more bonus objectives show up as you get out of the level range of the quest. I suppose this is to make up for the increasingly small amount of xp you get upon completion. When you first do this mission when you get your ship around level 16-18, the only bonus objective is to destroy enemy fighters. It's not until later (around level 25) that the additional bonus objectives, such as destroying the fleet's turrets, start showing up.

First time you do this mission you also get the Grade 1 Ship Armor.
