This quest currently has a small defect in it's availability (or so I believe). For those of you who are unable to pickup this daily quest, be sure you've completed and turned in the quests acquired from the teleportation room, namely: Reluctant Volunteers, Ancient Transmissions, and Found in Translation.

Once these are complete, Droid Malfunction should be available from SD-9.

Until last night I wasn't aware that this quest is a daily. Guess that quest wasn't available because I didn't turn in the other three quests that you get from teleportation room. Probably the fastest way to do dailies in this zone is to pick up 3 quests in teleportation room, do Reluctant Volunteers and Found in Translation first, turn them in and then do Ancient Transmissions as you don't need to turn it in. Then you can pick up three more dailies including Droid Malfunction. When you're on your way to do Droid Malfunction, you will be able to pick up your last daily in this area for a total of 7 dailies.
