Combat Leadership: Mark V

Liam Dentiri instructs the many Padawans on Tython in physical combat. He has preprogrammed several combat scenarios to test your skills and abilities in battle and has offered you a chance to prove yourself.

You have successfully completed four scenarios, and Liam believes you are ready for the final test. Find one of the training consoles around the Jedi Temple courtyard, activate it, and complete the training scenario.

This is no easy task, until you have your companion. Jedi Consular did not get their companions until later but can pick up the quest early. I suggest that you group with people or wait until you get your companion.

Solo'ed as level 8 Consular, no companion, no laming.

How to:
Buy +8 endurance stims to the vendor nearby, and some medkits.
Use TelekineticThrow as soon as it's up (maximum DPS), and DoubleStrike between them if you have enough force.
Don't use Project/ForceWave, they're useless, they use too much force and low damage. Use Force Stun though, just before a TelekineticThrow.
If the mech is under 800hp when you're going to die, use a stimpak, otherwise just give up and try again.
Or you could ask for help but it's not as fun.

If you're going to try and solo it as a lower level Consular (i.e. one without a companion), I'd recommend activating it at one of the training grounds that has an obstacle nearby and stunning + kiting the droid. And having medipacks ready.

Definetly wait tell you get your companion, as a lvl (9) Jedi Consular i received my first companion after completing the "Waterfall Cave" very easy after that!

While this quest features an elite mob, by this time you should have gotten your first companion, and it'll be a piece of cake!

The Mark V is a level 9 elite with 2635 hp. As other people have said, very difficulty to solo at that level but doable with stuns and medkits.

Attempted this at level 8 Jedi Consular. Was able to get the droid to 27% before it beat me. Once I get another level, a stim and my companion it should be easy!
