This is a quest reward from the quest Gree: Power Outage. It comes with no enhancements in any slot. This quest also gives you the title "Black Bisector".

Collected the full 7-piece armor set thanks to GTN and trade/guild chat. The chest is a BOP quest reward from Gree: Power Outage, but the rest are BOE rare world drops.

A level 39 orange (called Custom) piece is inherently no better or worse than a level 15 custom piece. Without mods, they are identical -- lacking stats and low in armor. The mods give custom gear all of its stats. The Armoring mod determines the armor value of the piece (adjusted by type: light, medium, or heavy). So a level 15 custom piece, with a level 39 Armoring mod would have the stats and armor rating of a level 39 piece of gear. The level 39 custom piece with level 12 Armoring in it would have the armor rating of a level 12 piece of gear. It's entirely dependent upon the mods within it.

Btw, putting a level 39 Armoring mod in the level 14 Custom piece would make it require level 39 to be worn. Whatever the highest level mod in the piece is, sets the level requirement for that gear.

ok, I'm a little confused, yes this is a reward from Gree:Power Outage, but my robe has rating of armor 7 (rating 6) not at all similar to armor 125 (rating 44) listed above, what gives?

am I just supposed to sell this as vendor trash?

"Armor 7 (Rating 6)" is the correct stat, but it is just a placeholder. Buy/make an armoring mod (like Resolve Armoring) and place in this gear's armoring slot. The armor rating of that armoring mod will determine the armor and rating of the gear (same with all oranges).

This is far from vendor trash, and is one of the earliest/easisest orange-quality armor pieces that you can get. I got mine around level 15 and still use it at level 39, with updated mods of course.

adding the mods will change the armor rating.

it is confusing... i'm on Torhead.com now cause i didn't understand if this orange is any better than my current orange.

we will get other orange gear later on, wouldnt it make sense that it would be of better quality than this? at lvl 39 this orange is better than other orange gear?

and this is a good place to have this conversation, because I'm sure other people will be confused by this as well. My Omenbringer robe is long gone, but if this is something people want to hang on to it's good to have this info available.
