Dorsil (http://www.torhead.com/npc/5olVuE4) sells some rare chest pieces at the Twi'lek camp on Tython.

These are awards from various starter quests. You can spend them in the Cantina at the Jedi Temple for a blue chest piece from the Specialty Goods vendor Shiden.

Edit: These also have a chance of dropping from an enemy. Everyone in the group can loot one.
