Nar Shaddaa, Corellien Sector.

Farming droids and the various scattered scavenging nodes will reward Chanlon. It is pretty concentrated as well and the repop is fast enough to keep moving.
If you're a Cybertech then you'll requite ALOT of this resource to level up from 155-200.

The Nikto sector is Republic only. For Imps, Corellian sector, -3500, -1630 (respawn is fast enough for a 50 to continually farm) Exchange X4-Z2 Battle Droids. 30 minutes net me 107 plasteel, 119 chanlon with Xalek (+2 scavenging crit)

I spent nearly 2 hours farming using the bot killing method and well felt nothing but frustration with how long it was taking. Then I decided to just look around for nods and doubled my Plasteel/Chanlon stockpile in about 20 minutes and got some Lacqerous, Phobium, Plastoid & Bronzium to boot. Killing the bots is a huge waste of time. Just farm nods by following the yellow lines in the middle of the map. If you're high enough in level you can avoid fighting almost completely by being a little creative with where you stand.

I suggest mounting up so you do the farming also rather than your idiot companion.

I tried the Nikto sector, and found that 80% of the nodes were Bronzium, not Chanlon. Also, the Makeshift Combat Droids in that sector had about the same drop rate of Bronzium vs Chanlon (80/20 respectively).

I have found the Imperial Pacification Droids in the Lower Industrial sector dropped Chanlon 50% of the time, and that all of the nodes in the sector were Chanlon, but there just aren't enough of them in the sector to farm.

Shadow Town, despite being 2 levels higher than the previous two sectors, is nearly 100% bronzium, and the droids drop the same 50/50 ratio of Chanlon/Plasteel as the Industrial sector droids. Unfortunately, the corridors are so narrow it is tough not to spend most of your time swatting pesky guards off.

The Western half of the Red Light sector (despite being lower level than most, actually had a ton of Chanlon nodes, and nearly all of the droids dropped Chanlon/Plasteel as well. Unfortunately, the respawn on nodes is shared with the eastern half of the map, so they do not respawn as fast as you collect them.

Can be salvaged from Makeshift Combat Droids in the Nikto Sector on Nar Shaddaa.

and to add if you're in need for lvl 2 metals this place is a decent spot for them with bronzium and plastoid comming from the piles and scavenging off of the bigger droids
