To all you people actually commenting on the item itself....ie where to find, stat relevancy, superiority / comparisons to other like weapons. +1.

To all you people endlessly nerding out on Star Wars lore in the weapons section -1.

Seriously there are places for this, like the community pages. Let's keep on topic as not to ruin this database with useless crap.

You can buy this from Rakata items vendor on Republic Fleet (supplies section, inner ring merchants) for commendations that supposedly drop in operations.

As with all other 140 rating Main Hand weapons, the token for this drops from Hard Mode/Nightmare Mode Karagga the Unyielding, the final boss in Karagga's Palace.

THIS is ABSOLUTELY NOT her Blade. Nothing to say it's ugly like hell >_<

Here real Blade looks more like this: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=satele+lightsaber#/d2s19c3
the best View on here Blade is mostly in the Trailer "Hope".

But this Saber has NOTHING to do with Satele Shan.

Hard Mode Karagga fell over and gave me the token for this beauty.

Where can you find her Lightsaber?

I'm about 99% certain you aren't getting this from a vendor. It's likely going to be (or is) a drop from an operation.

Bastila was a Jedi Sentinel, and Shadows are canonically a type of Jedi Sentinel, so it makes sense.

She came equipped with a Double-Bladed Lightsaber. o_O And was kicking people and stuff in her first appearance.

Not sure why you think of her as a Sage.

While you are right lore wise, I moreso meant, with the way the classes are in SW:TOR I would have put Bastila more as a Jedi Sage than a Jedi Shadow , since Sentinel is now a dual-wielding DPS class, and Bastila seemed to be more Force Focused in the KotOR games than a Melee (or in the case of this weapons stats, a Tank!) and thus more like the Sages in Sw:tor.

According to the Wookieepedia site, it claims that Bastila Shan is a Jedi Sentinel. Initially she used a yellow single bladed saber, but after Revan's "death", took up the dual blade. I've copied a piece from the site for you here:

"As a Jedi Sentinel, Shan used a single yellow-bladed lightsaber for a time. After Revan's "death," she exchanged the weapon for a double-bladed lightsaber. After the attack on the Endar Spire, Brejik found it when he salvaged her escape pod, and when Revan killed Brejik during the aftermath of the Taris swoop race, he returned it to Shan."

Well that's true in the first KotOR you see her fight Revan with a single bladed yellow lightsaber. What I'm wondering though is where this item came from. I sure hope it's not obtainable ingame.

The problem comes from the class naming scheme between the KotoR games and this one. There they had three Jedi classes and naming was simple here they two base classes and four advanced classes. That's why we end with a weapon for the original Sentinel being used by the Shadow AC, or the melee(er) Jedi being the knight when all Jedis are knight. Its the sacrifice of a little lore for game design. I've seen worse

There is definately some differences between Star Wars official cannon regarding the Jedi and what is represented within both KOTOR and SWTOR.

First, the Jedi Knight is a rank that all Jedi hold and is granted after successfully completing the Jedi Trials. Once a Jedi reaches the rank of Knight, they have the ability to further their study in one of three positions: Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular. There are, however, other positions and titles that a Jedi can hold later on in their career, but those go beyond the scope of this post.

With SWTOR, they decided to pick Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular as the base classes for force sensitives, then further specialize into one of two advanced classes. Sentinel and Guardian for the Jedi Knight, and Sage and Shadow for Jedi Consulars. The Sage and Shadows are actual Jedi occupations, though they are rarely talked about or heard of.

I don't mind scarificing a little lore for the sake of gameplay. What I dislike, even though I know most of the time it's unavoidable, are complete retcons.

Well if you think about it maybe Bastila became a shadow after they captured Revan Its suppose to be a not talked about section of the Jedi order So they sent her on a assignment to watch Revan to see if he will revert to his old ways that would theoretically make sense.

This weapon surprises me, as I always thought Bastila was more of a Sage-type Consular than a Shadow.

Either way, nice to see named weapons in-game :D
