Obtained through Archaeology gathering skill via crystal formations and missions, and also from reverse-engineering armor. Used by simple Synthweaving recipes for all armor types.

Treasure hunting is for Gemstones, not power crystals. Rubat Crystals can be farmed in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant

This can be gathered from Rubat Crystal Formations using the Archaeology crew skill (Requires a skill level of 1.) This can also be obtained from Class 1 lockboxes, though it is unknown if it is limited to specific types of lockboxes, and from Reverse Engineering items or modifications that are made through Artifice or picked up.
The crew missions have a chance of returning 1 - 7 crystals. Possibly more if the mission is a 'crit.'
It's purpose is for low level Artifice and Synthweaving schematics.
