This powercore has been reconfigured using miscellaneous droid circuitry by Jawas. The original center unit looks reminiscent of Infinite Empire technology and will not fit standard core adapters.
   

This item is used to break down a Matrix Cube so you can redo it. You will receive one Disassembler for free the first time you make a Matrix Cube.

On several planets you may find a Tatooine Import Chest. This chest is locked but can be unlocked using an

Import Code Cylinder (usually sold by a junk dealer near the chest for 8000c).

Used to disassemble the Matrix Cubes you can make from obtaining Shards from Datacrons. This is assuming you configure it wrong as there are multiple combinations (which results in different items with different stats) in which you can combine the cubes. here's a guide: http://holocrons.com/items/datacrons.

Also also can be found in the chest by the Junk Vendor on Balmorra, the same one that sells the lost code cylinder, for 8000 credits, it was in the chest inside her tent.

This core isn't just for fixing mistakes. It's also used to remove the shards from your current Matrix Cube Relic, allowing you to create the next level version, with different combinations.

The vendor herself is located at 670, 35, in the most southern-eastern portion of the Research Facility Map.

You need to purchase an Import Code Cylinder, cost 8K from her to unlock the chest a few feet to her left in the tent.
Loot the Reconfigured Disassembler Core and a trash item.

You also get one free one when you create your FIRST Matrix Cube.

Pitkth (a Jawa vendor) in Mos Ila (just inside the wall from the taxi pad, at (625, 493)) sells this for 8000k.

Just check vendors from your map when you arrive to Tatooine, Kipth (Stims Vendor) can be seen easily on the north of the Anchorhead.

In Balmorra, Ba'teil, the Junk vendor East of the Bugtown Taxi (Mini-map Coordinates X: 671, Y:36), sells the import code cylinder

I just created my first Matrix Cube and did not receive on of these Reconfigured Disassembler Core's. How sure are you that you get one for free when you make your first Matrix Cube?

For Republic the vendor for these can be found on Tatooine, just outside of Anchorhead. The Jawa stims vendor who sells the item is next to the sandcrawler just north from the city. Costs 8 000 each.

Republic players need to look for Kitpth at X:2125,Y:4067 on Tatooine. He's WAY up north of Anchorhead, the sole vendor at the Jawa Sandcrawler. Not sure how this hasn't been posted yet, but...

Found this in a tatooine import chest on taris. For 8000c you can buy a key from the vendor next to it, and I got this, plus the burned out vendor trash version. Still no clue what its used for however,

This dropped for me yesterday in Strat, it looks pretty cool too. It's white and looks longer than your average disassembler core.
