This is scavenged from Bondite Jetsam. I've found Alderaan to be the best place to farm it. It's all over the place there.

I decided to test out the suggestion of Quesh and I can confirm it is an excellent place to get (PURELY from nodes -- no droid killing needed!):

Diatium x 101
Resinite x 114
Bondite x 42
Fibermesh x 38

It was particularly good for Diatium and Resinite though. I'll update with rough numbers once I get through doing a round of Quesh.

Edit: I've finished approximately 1 round of Quesh and as a republic player I also explored Imperial questing areas. Using a level 50 mount in the span of about 30-45 minutes, I acquired the above numbers of each item with minimal backtracking. These numbers are approximate as I was also doing scavenging missions, but are close to the actual results. As you can see, Quesh is loaded with level 4 scavenging items. Some of the nodes seemed to share spawns between Bondite/Fibermesh and Diatium/Resinite so maybe my numbers could be the result of a 50/50 chance for spawns, but still... very good. I'm also adding that since Quesh is such a small planet it is ideal for farming this level of scavenging mats without needing to spend money on missions.

Republic: Just above the upper sundari outpost, in and around the trenches. There's a spot with 4-5 nodes visible on the mini map at the same time. Also smaller amounts of phobium and diatium. Despite this, was able to get 150 of both plus nearly 100 of the other 2 available in just over an hour's time. Gold mine here if you're the only one. Found to be much better than quesh. Quesh is great if you want diatium.

heresthedealio's comment is great: Balmorra. Take taxi to Upper Sundari Outpost then go North to the trenches @ 1357, 1134 at the crossroads. From there a Republic can scavenge easily the following BONDITE with fibermesh, Phobium with Lacqerous, and Diatiem with Resinite all spawning quickly and within the range of your radar. Park your character there, scavenge, log out to your other characters, then return for more scavenging. It couldn't get any better...Alderaan is too large a planet and it takes too long to return to a mail box to mail your resources to other characters. Empire characters also enjoy Balmorra here with slightly different resources

Actually, the best place to find it is Taris. It's loaded with bondite, and the droids drop it as well as fibermesh. Do some farming for a while, you'll quickly see that the vast majority is bondite, with a little bit of diatium and phobium mixed in.

En effet on en trouve sur Alderaan. Si vous êtes lvl 50 vous pouvez farm la zone héroique " Fort Alde ", on y trouve beaucoup de droides mais aussi beaucoup de crédits et de loots à revendre.

You can scavenge droids in the Network Security District on Nar Shadda. There are some scavenge nodes there as well.
