Bored of WoW, at least until MoP comes, out so figured I would try this game. Always played tanks in WoW so figured I would also enjoy playing them here. I have heard a lot of classes have ability bloat and from watching some videos it seems they have everything in their spellbooks keybound. Sorry but im not a keyboard athlete. I play games for fun not work. Having to memorize where 4858435430 abilities are is not fun to me and I dont have a $200 gaming keyboard or a mouse with 20 buttons on it. So between Sith Assassin and Bounty Hunter Powertech which is more forgiving and has an easier flow to it?

I haven't gotten all that far with my Shadow(Assassin) yet, but Powertech is pretty straight forward. There are a few differences you may want to consider. First and foremost the resource system. Heat vs Force. Force regenerates as a constant rate, while Heat dissipates at a different rate depending on how much you have. And then there's Procs/Charges. Powertech tanking really has no procs or stacking buffs to keep track of, while Assassin has Harnessed Darkness and Dark Ward.

And if cosmetics are a factor for you you also have to consider double-bladed light saber wielding, robe wearing acrobat vs single pistol wielding, jet pack wearing flamethrower.

Powertech. Assassin is more of an avoidance/mitigation tank so there's a lot more CD management to deal with.

This kind of baffles me, you don't wanna use the easier, more efficient, faster, more intuitive method that requires less effort because you think it's too much work?

How is it more fun to put your effort into navigating your UI instead of just playing the game with no thought procces needed to use the abilities you want?

You most likley only need 5-10 keybinds of your most often used abilities and you can then click the rest of them as you normally do. This can not be too much for you to remember.
