I'm a level 35 IA Operative and can't seem to beat Darth Jadus in the second fight against him. Is there some certain strategy I should be using?

The Jadus fight is a doozy; second phase definitely feels like the hardest of the three. Don't have much info to offer combat-wise as I did this as a sniper (which brought along its own set of problems), but I will say that medkits and adrenals will be your best friends for this fight.

The fight got easier for me after the first phase for some reason. I went full heal spec and spammed heals on Vector as he tanked and dpsed him down. I also stunned/interrupted him whenever possible. I agree with djseifer; medkits and adrenals definitely helped, especially when I took damage and wanted to save my energy for healing Vector. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I died countless times on that fight. They key is interrupts, ALWAYS interrupt. I was an operative, but even as a sniper you should be in range to Distract, Deabilitate, and Flash-bang his casts. Vector is good that fight, but if you find him dying too fast try Kaylio, she does marginally less damage, but can stay up a little longer. Just hit 50 as an Operative, and Jadus is STILL the hardest fight I've ever had. Good Luck!

i used kaliyo up until the point where i got scorpio.

for the jadus fight just make sure to use debilitate and flashbang as interrupts/fight stoppers to regain energy/heal/etc

i would interrupt with flashbang while jadus has no dots on and use the time to heal myself and kaliyo if needed and prepare for the next assault.

between each phase you can back out and heal to full easily, i had no problems with this fight at all.

I'm not sure how you guys even attacked him from phase 2 on. I had to use suppressive fire since I didn't have LoS at any point.
No LoS made it a really long fight.
No LoS also made it impossible to interrupt, which meant I took a lot of damage.
Being a Sniper made it impossible to heal.
Long fight with no heals and while taking a lot of damage is simply not doable.

In short I had 0 chance of completing this mission without help at anywhere near the correct level, so I enlisted some help. Had there not been horrific LoS issues during the fight I might have given it a try alone. Seriously, did you guys not have LoS issues, I was lucky if 1 in 10 attacks would even go off? It wasn't just the stairs either, I could be up top with him and literally in his face and not be able to attack.

I had some nasty LoS issues as well. So I'd run as close to him as I could, crouch, and then pop cover pulse to knock him out of that pocket of 'invisible walls'. Was pretty straight forward from there.

I did that, he kept wanting to move back to that same space. Probably had something to do with that fact that he needed to be there when you dropped the shield.

I did it as a healing Operative - Just poisoned him, and kited him around the area to the right between all the consoles. He'd stop to cast while my poison dart was ticking on him, and I'd be behind another console. It was pretty simple, really.

I died over 10 times during the first phase of the Darth Jadus fight, however then I learned a neat tactic that got me through the next phases without breaking a sweat: Interrupt, interrupt, interrupt! Use Distraction (and other stuns) liberally to interrupt his casting. Those are the real heavy hitters, without his nukes you won't even have to heal yourself or your companion (I used Kaliyo) and he'll go down like a charm.

Darth Jadus was hard, till you learn one special thing. His area is buggy and glitchy as hell. LoS is impossible to get from the down the stairs. So naturally, you use your companion to bring him out. Wrong. I used Kaliyo as an operative, got right in his face, and DPS's the crap out of him. Because of the bugginess up where he is he'll have SERIOUS issues getting LOS on you, making it impossible for him to shoot his PEWPEWs at you, which hurt like hell. You may find yourself having LoS issues as well but you can always quickly adjust or move around and spam your ability until they cast, hardly screws up timing.. Kaliyo never dropped below 80%, and I just stabbity stabbed with poisons out till he died.

TL;DR

Fight him where he stands FTW.

I've died 2 or 3 times in this fight because of the LoS issues alone. First phase was OK, but in second phase I couldn't heal my companion even when standing right on top of it, so I used different tactic. I range pulled Jadus with a dart while companion was on passive (if not on passive, it will try to jump to where he stands) and then kited him around since he completely ignored my companion by constantly using whirlwind on it on every CD. Then I realized that sometimes he likes to heal as well, so I changed my tactic to darting him and using my knife abilities (playing as an Operative healer). After that it was piece of cake, but in phase three LoS issues got so bad that even range pulling was impossible, so I had to walk into him and run away.

As a level 30 healer I didn't interrupt a single cast, but his healing spells. His attacks can be easily escaped by moving around the consoles on left and right sides of the bridge.

Just create a simple combo and repeat it! got me through to 50!
By djseifer at 2012-02-07 03:47:34
For everyone who's having problems with the Jadus fight due to LoS bugs on the bridge (especially snipers), do this: take cover at maximum range (around the second set of stairs), send your companion in to attack, then call your companion back to you. This should pull Jadus off the upper part of the bridge and put him back in LoS.

Its pretty easy once you know to LoS him around the consoles to the right, I used 2V-R8 just so I got healed up if I made a mistake and got hit, but I think using a DPS companion would get him down quicker, you just don't want your companion to pull aggro cos they will die, it's better to keep aggro so you can LoS.

I happened to have just changed to lethality spec so I just DoTed him up and LoSed him about, throwing in a explosive probe and a cull every so often when he was busy casting. Run up to him to pull and then down to the consoles to get rid of the LoS bug, I flashbanged him here so I could run without taking damage, then DoT and use legshot whenever you can and its easy to stay out of LoS around the consoles, use debilitate and flashbang whenever they come up again and you will soon burn him down.
