Worth going from LG 23.5" LCD to a ASUS/SAMSUNG 27" LED for games?

I have a bit of Christmas cash and was thinking about upgrading my 2+ year old LCD with a larger LED.

I have no real issues with my 23.5" but still was wondering if it would be worth upgrading to a newer LED.

What do you guys think?

If it has a higher resultion you may end up needing a better GPU to handle it.
It really depends if the new monitor is better than your current monitor. I prefer the Dell UltraSharp series, I don't think I'd go with a 27", I'd likely go with 3 2412m's atm.

Possibly unrelated but do keep in mind if you want to go with a multimonitor setup, it'll be cheaper to get two (or more) 23"s. :)

Personally I would. I am using a decent 1080p 26' monitor and I really enjoy it. I upgraded from a decent 22' I believe.
