The Dune Sea

A vast ocean of sand stretching endlessly into the horizon, the Dune Sea is the image that springs to mind when most think of Tatooine--even those who've settled on the planet. Few dare to wander too far into the wasteland, fearful of Sand People, hideous monsters and worst of all: the utterly unknown.

Particularly brave Jawas have retrieved salvage during journeys into the Dune Sea, returning with puzzling devices and broken gadgets. No one is entirely sure how these scraps ended up in the wastes, but the occasional piece bears the worn, faded emblem of Czerka Corporation.

there are 3 datacrons here, frist is on a cliff in a wrecked ship, you must drop down from the elite area wher eyou recover the black box. the other 2 are on a sandcrawler on the western edge of the map little more than 1/2 way up left side. i do not know how to reach them yet.

Actually, there is a balloon that takes you around the entire dune sea. It's about a 40 minute ride, and you can get to it by standing on the sand crawler vehicle in the southwest corner of the map. Jump onto the balloon, and I do not recommend going AFK. Wait until you are above the sandcrawler with the datacrons, and jump off on the side with the datacron. You CANNOT get to it if you jump on the other side. Once you have that datacron, jump onto the ledge towards the left side of the ship, walk along it until you are stationed above the ledge with the red datacron, and slowly tap backwards. Do not try to fall off the ledge facing forward, you will go to far and have to repeat the whole process. Small taps, and you should fall onto the ledge.

For some reason the balloon always "Pops" for me right before reaching the jump off point, and I end up falling to the ground. haven't tried in awhile, so not sure if this still happens.
