As of patch 1.0.1, Mako still has the following crew skill bonuses:
+5 Cybertech efficiency
+15 Slicing efficiency
There were rumblings from the devs months ago about removing these bonuses from all companions; it is currently unknown whether these bonuses were functionally removed and the GUI has not been updated to reflect this, or whether this change is simply low down on the priority list.
