Sith Marauder

Wielding two lightsabers and unmatched aggression, Sith trained as Marauders slice through enemy ranks dealing death with merciless efficiency. Whether annihilating a squad of Republic troops or cutting down a single Jedi, the Marauder sees and exploits every weakness to exact the greatest toll. Never hesitating, never faltering, there is no swifter bringer of pain in the galaxy.

All Sith Marauders can wield two lightsabers in combat, crushing their foes with superior speed and becoming a terror on the battlefield. Marauders can opt to learn the ways of Annihilation, learning the Juyo lightsaber techniques and inflicting traumas upon their enemies; Carnage, specializing in swift movement and acrobatics to obliterate foes before they can react; and Rage, subduing cowering foes with lightsaber strikes and crushing them with the Force.

Bloodthirst (+15% healing and damage for your party for 15 seconds) and Obfuscate (reduces target's melee abd ranged accuracy by 90% for 6 seconds) should place this class in heavy demand in Operations and Heroic Flashpoints.

Predation (+50% movement speed for your party for 10s) and Deadly Throw (reduces target's healing rceived by 20% for 15 seconds) should make this class desired in pre-made Warfront groups.

Obfuscate will only place them well in raids if they actually use the ability. Most people in this game, when given a defensive type of ability, don't use it as dps. As being both a tank AND healer, during heavy damage phases, please use this ability.

On top of this, let's at least place some useful information. Marauders do burst damage. Carnage does instant damage, Annihilation does damage over time through bleeds, but still has good instant damage going. idk much about the shared tree.

We need to have Primary & Secondary Stat added here to other standard info like armor & resource:

Sith Marauder:
Primary Stat: Might (Strength)
Secondary: Fortitude (Endurance)

Uhh...Sith Jedi? There is a slight contradiction there I think.

The Marauder is defiantly the hardest class to master. Medium armor means you can't take a hit like the Juggernaut or the Bounty Hunter can, and since your melee you are much more vulnerable then the Agent or Inquisitor. Marauders need to pick there targets in both PvE and PvP very carefully. Pick off the stragglers and show them why its a bad idea to let your guard down when a Maruader is around!

The Rage Tree is, IMHO, better than Carnage for both PVP and PVE. The speed boosts you get in Rage (40%) plus the 10m charge (Obliterate) make the mara a viable opponent in PVP versus only 15% in Carnage. The damage from Ataru hits are a joke at lvl 50 along with gore and massacre. Gore and Obliterate have the same CD time, but Obliterate hits harder at lvl 50. Not to mention when specced correctly, Smash CD is reduced to 6 sec and damage boosted over 100% with a rage cost of 1: here is the build I am going with, http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bZhMzZGbMrdrRbGR.1

For both PVE and PVP, Predation is a good skill to use. In Rage, you can gain automatic 10 Fury when Predation ends making your next Predation that much closer. I could go further in depth, but bottom line is that until BW buffs the dmg output of Carnage tree abilities, the tree is useless against Rage and Annihilation.

When I play my Sith Marauder I do get a similar feeling of a Fury Warrior in WoW. To answer your next question, yes. Marauder is one of the 2 dps only classes (Sith Side), and is one of the highest dps classes in the game according to what is known so far.

For PvE dps I would choose either the Carnage or Annihilation tree (I can't speak for Rage - haven't tried it, but I hear its a great PvP spec).

Carnage - Instant attacks / Procs
Annihilation - DoT / Instant attacks

So yeah, if you have played a duel wielding warrior in WoW u'll fall right into place :)

Ataru form if you develop Carnage and Juyo form otherwise.

Now what about the Annihilation Tree that Marauders have as well, it's stacking bleeds seem to be a very effective combat style for both pvp/pve. Tweaking the trees slightly to vary from PVE or PVP like such(my experimental builds)
PVE- http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRrRMcGzZhGZM.1

PVP- http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIrRroMcGzZhMbZR.1

I used the Annihilation tree for pvp for a few days and found it very satisfying damage wise, but since I leveled with carnage(Ataru bonus strike seemed fantastic for damage at low levels) I reverted back to it when starting level 50 PVE. I noticed shortly there after, that it's damage runs short if gore, massacre, force scream and ravage aren't used in an almost perfect rotation.
Anyway those are my thoughts on it. Feel free to let me know what any of you think, or if you have any suggestions that could improve upon it.

I am playing as Maraudar currently at lvl 32. I am using my Quin companion to heal myself since we use medium armor and take quite allot of damage.
I am playing as Carnage. Since first talent tier look pretty good. But is there anyway to find out what the best tier is for 30+. Or best dps for raiding at lvl 50?
Is there any theory crafting like wow (Elitist Jerks) avaible for SWTOR so far?

EDIT: Found a nice theory crafting site. According to them Carnage has best PvE dps overall. Since the rotation fits perfectly.
Which is good since I am Carnage alrdy ^^

So, uhm, just so I'm clear and can keep leveling it without regretting it: maurader -is- a good PvE DPS class, yes? Similar to WoW's fury warrior? Or am I wrong?

Which specc would be best for PvE DPS?

this class inbodies all the things i've always loved about the star wars universe. 1. slicing through entire armies by yourself 2. dual lightsabers and 3. being a bad ass sith jedi

Like any other specialization, you have to be level 10 before you can get the quest to pick a specialization.
