Every flashpoint has crafting-induced shortcuts of sort. Sometimes a scavenger can turn on a droid, or an artificer can open a door to avoid mobs or biochem might be able to survive a toxic side area for loot. It's very random and unimportant but can be extremely helpful for loot or if you're just in a struggling group.
