Loads your blaster with a high velocity gas cylinder. While active, armor penetration is increased by 35% and alacrity is increased by 3%. Only one cylinder can be active at a time.

Note: Damage and healing values are based off a level 50 character in green gear. Our staff are still adjusting and adding effects to the formulas, so bear with us as we continue to improve these numbers for launch.

Great gas cylinder choice for Arsenal spec Mercenary.

Why?
Could someone please explain to me how armor penetration works?
Do all enemies have armor, even squishy-looking beasts?

Yes, all mobs have armor. It's tied into their level and their classification (boss/standard/hard etc.). Let's say a mob has 1000 armor and you have this on, that means that only 650 armor will be mitigating your damage. This does not mean that you will do 35% more damage, it just means that the armor of a mob will be 35% less effective if you use the High Velocity Gas Cylinder.
