Channels the Force into the ground at the target location, causing it to quake and tremble, consuming 120 Force and dealing 7660 energy damage to up to 8 targets within 8 meters over the duration of the channel. Affected enemies are additionally slowed by 30% for as long as they remain in the area of effect. In addition, standard and weak targets have a 33% chance to be stunned by the storm each second.

Note: Damage and healing values are based off a level 50 character in green gear. Our staff are still adjusting and adding effects to the formulas, so bear with us as we continue to improve these numbers for launch.

6 second channel indeed. It can be a very powerful ability for quickly wiping out groups of weak enemies while taking little damage in return. To prevent the loss of channel time when getting attacked, shield yourself before using it.

It's a shame it's obtained so late though, and it's also a shame its use is somewhat limited; the damage isn't spectacular and there's almost no point in using it in PvP, AFAIK.

Some tips for using it: the area of effect is a lot bigger than the targeting circle suggest. The 33% knockdown can feel a little bit RNG at times. For optimal effect, stand just at the edge of the aoe so that enemies who make it to you won't be running outside of the aoe.

Just to qualify what Xfct has said about getting the ability so late...For a Jedi Sage (Seer - Healing), this is your first real AoE ability...at level 34.

The knockdown zone is at least three times the size of what the AoE circle is.

The telekinetics skill tree contains a skill that allows Forcequake to instantly finish the cooldown and remove the activation time from the next Telekinetic Wave for even more AE damage.

Anyone used this? do enemies have to stay within the area to take the full damage?

it says instant cast but I have seen it on another site saying 6 second channel, is this true?

Knockdown only on standard enemies so won't work in PvP, a shame
Huge force cost, damage would have to be significantly higher than TK wave to warrant using this in PvP (unless it is instant cast), If the stated damage is correct then I believe you are paying the extra force for the knockdown effect, this makes me think this will mainly be used in PvE, if at all, as standard & weak mobs don't really need to be knocked down because they are so weak anyway

As PvE abilities go, Forcequake is great. Two to three uses will devastate groups of standard mobs who are focused on killing your companion. As an added benefit, the knockdown helps limit the number of said mods doing damage to your companion. And if any of those mobs get adventurous and come after you, just use Force Wave to knock them back into the area of effect (which is huge).

As a Seer Jedi Sage Consular this is your first AoE skill and comes so late. Shadows get theirs at about 26, Telekinetic Sages at 20, Scoundral 16 Gunsliger 22, most Trooper spells have atleast splash damage getting a 1 minute CD one at 10, and a no cooldown own at 12 as a commando and 24 as a Vanguard, Then again I guess Knights do not get theirs till 32 so just as late.

I guess I am just accustom to my non force users who get theirs much earlier. Either way good spell to clear up non elites rather fast, just feels like it comes so late compaired to Trooper/Bounter hunter and Smuggler/Imperial Agent.

Actually this ability is quite useful in PvP as well, at least in warzones where you have to attack or defend a node or door. AoE is the best way of interrupting multiple cappers at once, and most other AoE abilities either have a cooldown or cause their user to run out of resources quickly if they keep spamming it.
