This is an ability to gain back force points, as it uses non to use. This is a filler ability and will be used mostly.

Speaking as Shadow-Infiltration: Sabre Strike was useful up until around 17th level. Then some more dynamics came into play which I list next:
- This is a melee attack and is affected by the target's level and defense. It seemed as if my sabre strike started missing 20-40% of the time (defense?) and the damage was on the low side (shielded/armor?).
- My melee attacks which cost force (DoubleStrike, ShadowStrike, etc) were not missing as much as SaberStrike.
- This made me start looking at accuracy. Melee accuracy at 90% = miss 10% of the time which is what Doublestrike looks like. Something else is going on with SabreStrike compared with Double Strike. It just did not make sense to me to spend important stat points on accuracy just to get my weakest attack a little bit less weak.

When activated, Saber Strike consumes the most time (1 sec + global) and misses at least one of the three strikes. I decided to stop using SabreStrike around 22nd level when I got Slow. Presently at 34th level, I don't have it keybound or in my quickbar and I don't miss it (except for the animation for this ability, it had good animation).

Concerning the problem of force - ! You must begin every attack in Stealth which triggers "Shadow Respite" ! Also once you get to around 23 level, Blackout can be used out of Stealth and will generate 39 additional points of force over 6 seconds every 1 minute CD (it triggers Shadow Respite). Once I Start seeing "Insufficient Force" error text, I trigger Blackout.
- In PvP, there is so much moving around and trading of targets, I normally do not have force problems. If I get locked into a 1vs1 death match, popping Blackout is needed.
- In PvE, If I am going head to head (solo) with an equal, I better be using my Blackout because I will run out of force
