Very important to note the add-ons you can have for this as an Ops. They add a lot if you're taking a DPS tree. Concealment tree lets you get Revitalizers, so they heal you every 3s for 2% health. Lethality tree lets you get Combat Stims, restoring 5/10 energy immediately when you activate them. The Medicine tree sadly doesn't get any Stim Boost riders, and if you max the tree, can't even splash into them.

This ability is similar to a rogue's "Slice and Dice" ability from WoW

For those of you who have never played wow (and those who have) this is absolutely nothing like "Slice and Dice" in any way. The fact that you keep this up is no different than buffing yourself with Coordination or a Stim or keeping your health above 0.
However it is important to keep this ability up (trying not to make you seem like you don't have some understanding of the ability) and it does (just as it says) give you 3 energy per 3 seconds (aka 1 energy a second/count) on top of the rate you currently are at. Energy does not regen at a steady rate it regens per how much you still have left and this is a bonus to that so in longer fights make sure to maintain this (aka how this ability is like slice and dice from rogues in wow..... let it go man this is star wars)

This ability is the exact opposite of recouperate for rogues. But when speced into provide the same benefits. To explain recoup restores Heath not energy, this ability restores energy not Heath. But when recoup is speced into it restores energy as well, when this ability is speced into it restores Heath as well. Just pointing that out.

This ability is similar to a rogue's "Slice and Dice" ability from WoW in that it's incredibly important to use your Tactical Advantage to keep this up during fights (both as a healer or dps role).

The extra energy it gives you is not affected by your current energy pool so it's especially necessary to keep up if you need to burn a lot of energy in a burst damage/healing situation.

Well alot of thee class mechanics are based off of WoW so I don't see what the big deal is over making any sort of reference. They're practically the same game once you start noticing repeats in the quest dialogue. Anyways, I'd say this ability is closer to the rogue's Recuperate, a long duration finishing ability that restores health gradually, except it's energy (In fact it's kind of vice versa, restoring energy and with a talent restoring health). It'd seem wise to keep up in long fights or even semi-long fights, and probably a crutch for healers that are stressed on resources.
