With Combat Support Cylinder active, can you target yourself with Rapid Shot to heal yourself?

This is a great spam ability, usable on the run. You can circle strafe with it too. Doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's earned me a lot of kills in the high-teens and low-20s. Great combo with gas cylinder on the merc too. Again, the healing isn't great, but you can spam it on the run which makes it very worthwhile.

I wish Bioware would change two things about this spell:
1) Allow you to shoot yourself.
2) Not require you to face your target while moving.
